A successful settling jar identifies an application candidate; it does not by itself control future supply. Product approval should connect the exact grade and lot to agreed test methods, preparation evidence, packaging and commercial terms.
Align specification methods
Review the supplier method for moisture or solids, charge indicator, solution viscosity, particle size and dissolution-related checks. Values from different concentrations, waters, temperatures or instruments are not directly comparable.
Do not treat molecular weight or charge density as a stand-alone performance guarantee. Keep the application test and accepted dose window as part of the purchasing basis.
Build lot traceability
Record product code, manufacturing or lot identification, COA, TDS and SDS. Define retained-sample handling and a repeatable incoming check. When performance changes, compare the current lot with a retained reference under the same feed and preparation.
Document feeder accuracy, solution concentration, hydration and test mixing so a preparation problem is not misclassified as a lot problem.
Specify packaging and logistics
Confirm pack format, liner, palletization, marks, loading plan, destination, Incoterm and required export documents. Protect dry polymer from moisture and manage spills under the SDS because hydrated product creates a severe slip hazard.
Compare delivered treatment cost using active dose, freight, storage, water recovery, sludge handling and operating stability—not price per kilogram alone.
